Statewide Super offers three occupation categories for members: standard, white collar and professional. Depending on your occupation you may be eligible to receive the above cover types at a reduced cost if you fall within the white collar or professional occupation categories.
Here’s what each occupation category means:
If you’re a new employer-sponsored member, when you first join Statewide Super you’ll automatically be assigned to the ‘standard’ occupation category.
You may be eligible for cover under the white collar category if in your occupation or work: your duties are primarily of a clerical, administrative or management nature, 90% of these duties are undertaken in an office environment, and none of your duties are of a manual nature.
You may be eligible for cover under the professional category if: you meet all the criteria for the white collar occupation category; and 100% of your duties are undertaken in an office environment; and you hold a tertiary qualification (e.g. diploma or degree) relevant to your current occupation or are a member of the relevant professional institute of your occupation, or you are engaged as a senior member of your employer’s management/executive team; and you earn in excess of $100,000 per annum from your profession.
