Mark Hamilton
Mark Hamilton

Head of Financial Planning

Mark joined Statewide Super in May 2019 as the Head of Financial Planning.

Mark is responsible for ensuring Statewide Super members are supported at every stage of their financial journey, whether that’s achieving a lifestyle goal or a comfortable retirement. To Mark and his team of Financial Planners, there is nothing better than making a positive difference in someone’s life. Together, their expertise spans an impressive breadth of financial knowledge, allowing them to not only advise but work alongside and develop each members understanding of the importance of superannuation for their future.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) from Kaplan Professional Education. Mark is an Associate Financial Planner®, a Fellow of FINSIA and holds over 22 years’ of experience leading teams in the Banking and Financial Services sectors.

Matthew joined the Statewide Super team in February 2020, with an extensive background in Financial Planning, having worked in the industry since 2007.

A genuine people person, Matthew relishes learning about and connecting with his clients in order to support them in achieving their financial goals. He also takes great joy in helping his clients to improve their personal situation, regardless of how big or small that change may be.

With a Bachelor of Finance and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning in hand, Matthew is now in the midst of completing his Certified Financial Planner qualification and is looking forward to supporting the members of Statewide Super.

Opel’s passion for educating and engaging members with their superannuation, drew her to join the team at Statewide Super in January 2019.

With over seven years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, three of these being in superannuation, Opel is known for her ability to communicate the complexities of superannuation with clarity. This allows each member that she works with, regardless of their background or knowledge, to grasp and understand critical topics, then take the steps needed to benefit their financial future.

Opel prides herself on providing a solution-focused service to members, that connects with who they are and the journey they are on.

Darren joined the Statewide Super team in June 2021 bringing with him extensive financial adviser experience spanning over 15 years.

He believes in taking an active approach to understand each client’s specific wants and needs, whether they are targeting increased wealth or want to feel secure as retirement approaches. Darren will work with his clients to provide the best possible solution to achieve their goals.

Darren has completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1993 and a Diploma of Financial services (financial Planning) in 2007.

Boris joined Statewide Super in May 2021 bringing over 23 years’ experience as a Financial Planner to our NT team.

As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Boris’s focus is on developing his clients’ financial knowledge to support them to meet their financial and lifestyle goals. His empathetic approach enables him to forge long-lasting relationships with his clients over many years. Boris holds a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia as well as a Diploma in Financial Planning through the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

With over a decade in the financial planning industry, Jordan joined Statewide Super in December 2019 having previously worked as a Financial Planner in the private sector, specialising in holistic advice.

Jordan realised from a young age the sense of dignity, security and peace that can be created through successful budgeting, saving and financial planning. She understands that everyone’s economic and life situation is unique, with no one size fits all approach and strives to provide advice that will see her clients optimise their position and ultimately achieve their lifestyle goals.

Mick joined Statewide Super in April 2019 as an Associate Financial Planner having worked in Finance roles since 1990.

Mick is passionate about assisting financially and socially disadvantaged people achieve their financial goals, tailoring solutions based on individual circumstance.  His experience has included delivering education and financial advice to those living in remote areas of the Territory. Currently studying his Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning after having completed his Advanced Diploma, Mick is keen to pursue a long-term career as a Financial Planner.

Justine was appointed to the role of Regional Manager, Northern Territory for Statewide Super in June 2016 and was solely responsible for the provision of financial advice for members located in the NT. Returning to Adelaide in March 2018, Justine is now dedicated to helping SA-based members achieve better outcomes in relation to their Statewide Super insurance, investment selection and contribution strategy. Justine brings a warm, relaxed and friendly approach to her meetings with members and enjoys educating members on their super.

Starting at Statewide Super in May 2016 in the Member Services team, Charlie’s aptitude for member servicing and advice provision quickly saw him embedded into the Financial Planning team.  Charlie enjoys ensuring people are making the most of their super arrangements and relishes the opportunity to increase their financial knowledge and understanding, to help them achieve their financial goals.

Lachlan joined Statewide Super in January 2020 bringing with him over 7 years of expertise in superannuation and financial planning from the private sector.

Lachlan believes in the value of providing quality financial advice through building long-term relationships. This in turn sees him develop tailored advice solutions to help his clients achieve their personal objectives, while providing them with further education on their superannuation every step of the way.

Lachlan holds both a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning through Kaplan Professional and a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia.

Kayleigh joined the Statewide Super team in July 2021, bringing with her 6 years’ experience in the retail banking and financial services industry.

Passionate about developing meaningful relationships, Kayleigh works with members to educate and empower them to achieve their financial goals, by supporting them to make the most out of their super arrangements.

Kayleigh holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) from the University of South Australia and is currently completing her professional year in her aim to pursue a long-standing career as a Financial Planner.
