Most people require formal advice to get the financial results they want. It doesn’t just happen on its own. A good first step is to make an appointment to see a professional who can help you to achieve your financial goals, someone like our Financial Planners.

With years of experience, a knack for making the complex simple and a passion for what they do, our planners will work with you to create a plan to support your journey toward achieving your financial objectives, giving you comfort that your financial future is in good hands. Get to know our Financial Planners here.

Your initial advice consultation, at no additional cost*

Statewide Super offers its members an initial 1-1.5 hour advice consultation at no additional cost, to get the ball rolling. In this meeting we will discuss your financial aspirations, current situation and how we can help.

After this meeting it’s up to you whether you wish to continue. We will provide you with information regarding all the costs up front and will be completely transparent with the price and the process. In some cases, part or all of the advice fee can be paid from your super balance, with your consent – now that’s super convenient!

Proceeding to formal, comprehensive advice

If you decide to proceed with formal advice, we will create a tailored plan, designed to put you on the path to a better financial future. This will involve clarifying your current financial situation, needs and objectives, as well as identifying strategies to get you there. This process can take several weeks unless an urgent timeframe is specified.

At the end of your advice experience you will be provided with a Statement of Advice – a detailed, written financial document that outlines your personalised plan. Our planners will ensure that you understand and agree to their recommendations, before putting those plans into action.

Advice on a range of financial topics

Even though we are super specialists, our financial planners can provide advice on a range of super and non-super related topics. Advice topics include:

  • Superannuation – we can make your money work harder and build your wealth
  • Pre-retirement and retirement planning – whether you’re approaching or in retirement, let us help you achieve your retirement goals
  • Aged care – this emotive topic can often be difficult to navigate. Let us consider the financial options for aged care whilst you look after your loved ones
  • Asset allocation and risk management – we can help determine the best investment selection to maximise your potential return
  • Cash flow and budgeting – we can show you where your money is going and help you develop a plan to grow your bank balance
  • Estate planning – provide you with guidance to provide you and your loved ones peace-of-mind
  • Centrelink – navigating the world of Centrelink and what benefits you are entitled to can be tricky. We can help!
  • Family and asset protection (insurances) – ensuring you have the cash available when you need it most
  • Investing outside of super – whether it be shares, bonds, cash, property or other asset management, we can help determine the best portfolio mix to support you to achieve your goals.
